On this sunny Easter Sunday, a day that is usually filled with joy and celebration, hearts are instead heavy with grief. The St Éloi family is mourning the loss of one of its own, the dearly loved Benjamin Goullioud, who passed away far too soon. His absence leaves a profound emptiness within the community that knew and cherished him.
Benjamin was deeply devoted to the confraternity and the cherished traditions of the charrettes. His dedication, enthusiasm, and unwavering commitment made him an essential part of the group. Whether through his active involvement or the camaraderie he shared with fellow members, Benjamin embodied the true spirit of unity and tradition that defines the St Éloi community.
Those who had the privilege of knowing him remember not only his contributions but also his kindness, warmth, and genuine friendship. He was more than a participant—he was a brother, a friend, and a pillar within the confraternity. His presence brought people together, and his passion ensured that traditions were honored with pride and heart.
Today, the void left by his passing is deeply felt. Yet, even in sorrow, the community holds tightly to the memories they shared with him. His laughter, his dedication, and his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who walked beside him.
The confraternity extends its heartfelt condolences to Benjamin’s family during this incredibly difficult time. As they grieve, they do so with the support and prayers of an entire community standing beside them.
In remembrance, prayers are offered for their charretier, their friend. Though he is gone, he will never be forgotten.
Adesias, Benjamin.
